I saw my first circus in Bangalore in 2025, and I still remember sitting there, almost like a child, completely taken in by everything unfolding in front of me. There was something so raw about it, the performers risking their bodies, moving with such control and fearlessness, as if gravity didn’t apply to them. It didn’t feel staged or distant; it felt real, happening right there, in the same air I was breathing.
I think what stayed with me the most wasn’t just how good it was, but the feeling that I was witnessing something that might not exist for much longer. In a world that’s constantly moving toward screens and speed, the circus felt slow, human, and incredibly alive.
This project comes from that moment. It’s my way of holding onto what I saw and felt that day, a small attempt to document something beautiful that is quietly disappearing, so it doesn’t fade without being remembered.
